6 Signs That Your Body Has Too Many Toxins

Toxins are the harmful substances that silently lodge themselves within your body and affect your energy levels. An accumulation over a period of time can cause diseases, ranging from common ailments to even fatal ones in some cases. The biggest challenge lies in identifying them because there are dozens of them that you may come across on a daily basis. From a harmless-looking lipstick to a household cleaner, a pesticide, a fertilizer, cigarette smoke, or dust, there are a number of substances that may be toxic for your system.

Your body struggles with them every day and you may not even be aware of the harm they can cause. And what will you be able to do if you don’t even recognize the existence of the enemy lurking in the food you eat, the water you drink and the air you breathe? Fortunately, your body gives you several subtle indications about the toxic overload that it may be experiencing. All that you need to do is to understand these hints and take appropriate action to eliminate these toxins. Let us list some common signs that your body is struggling with toxins and needs efforts to get rid of them.

  1. You experience consistent fatigue

You may be healthy and disease-free but consistent fatigue despite taking adequate sleep and rest is a clear indication of toxic overload. Lethargy becomes a way of life and even day to day activities are an uphill struggle. This is a signal that your body is trying hard to eliminate the toxins that are making way into it.

Assess your habits and the way you deal with fatigue. If you are consuming too much caffeine or increasing the sugar intake to feel more energetic, you are probably doing the worse for your system. This clearly means that you need to rethink your detox strategies and have a tangible plan of action to overcome the issue.

  1. You come across chronic bouts of constipation

Chronic constipation is another sign that your body has deep-seated toxins that are compromising with your digestive performance. The intestines are responsible for eliminating the toxins from the body. When they stop functioning properly, you get constipated and this results in a toxic buildup within the gut.

The phenomenon becomes a cycle with constipation leading to toxic accumulation and vice versa. Chronic constipation not only makes you feel bloated and uncomfortable but also results in health problems such as headaches, lethargy and aches and pains.   1. You are unable to lose weight despite the best efforts

Being overweight leads to self-esteem issues and brings a host of health issues as well. The presence of toxic substances in your body not only affects the organ functions but also has an influence on your external appearance. If you suffer from frequent skin reactions and hair fall, your body is signaling that something is amiss and toxic overload is the most probable culprit.

When your body is unable to detoxify properly, skin problems like acne, rashes, eczema and psoriasis become a common occurrence. Puffy eyes and dryness indicate that your body has reached the toxic limit. Excessive hair loss, premature graying and dull hair are some other warning signs that you should watch out for.

  1. Your breath smells repulsive

Another warning sign that you should be vigilant about is repulsive breath. No matter how particular you are about oral hygiene, there appears to be no respite from bad breath. This symptom is a clear indication of inadequacy of the liver function, an organ which is directly responsible for the removal of toxins from the body.

The problem can be resolved by brushing your teeth properly, using mouthwash and swallowing breath mints but these are just temporary solutions. The better approach is get to the root of the issue, which probably relates to toxic buildup, and work on improving your liver’s detox function.

  1. You feel muscular pain and stiffness

If you are a regular gym buff but suddenly start experience muscular pain and stiffness, it is a sign that your body needs to strengthen its detoxification capabilities. This is something that you should take seriously because the harmful chemicals that are making their way into your body are probably taking a toll on your muscular system.

Just keep moving to ensure that your muscles stay strong enough even while you work on improving your detox function simultaneously. Besides regular exercise, adopt an organic diet and a healthy lifestyle to stimulate the elimination of toxins from your body.

Now that you know all about the indications that your body gives as warning signals of excessive toxic accumulation, you should be vigilant about them. If you recognize one or more of these signs, work on a result-oriented detox strategy to restore your health and digestive function. Food is the mainstay of such a strategy as you can totally rely on a natural detox diet for effective results. Drinking plenty of water is equally important to accelerate the flushing out process. Cleansing your gut naturally with an herbal detox is another effective measure that you can take. While elimination is one aspect of the strategy, protecting oneself from environmental toxins is another. Also, ensure that you stay away from emotional and mental toxins. Practice yoga and meditation to relieve stress and be healthy in the body and mind.
