8 Natural And Home-Made Therapies To Cure Sebaceous Cyst

Before assuming much, let me clear first with what is sebaceous cyst. A sebaceous cyst is a bump, which occurs under the skin. It is also termed as keratin cyst because keratin named protein develops a blockage in sebaceous gland which leads to develop the cyst. It is non cancerous but too much irritating. Mostly, it is found on the neck, breast, face, but also can occur on other parts. It is a painless bump. Many times, the cyst smells pungent as it contains yellowish liquid which is  semi-solid. Don’t hesitate to consult skin specialist. It’s neither harmful nor contagious. 3.Castor Oil: For sebaceous cysts, castor oil shows effective results. It heals the cyst similarly reduces the itching. What you need to do is, to dip a piece of cloth in castor oil and place it directly on the affected part. After that, place hot water bag on the cloth placed on cyst and press for half an hour. The heat of water plus castor oil combo will help you to treat the cyst.

4.Turmeric: Turmeric is a good herbal remedy that you can apply to cure cyst without fearing of any side effects. It improves digestion and purifies blood. For a result, you need to apply a ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder with one cup of warm milk. Consume turmeric added hot milk for 10 days is also effective. You’ll get better results in short time through this spice.

5.Honey: For the treatment of sebaceous cyst, you need to make a formula which contains wheatgrass and honey. Blend the wheatgrass then add some honey into the paste. Mix it well. Take that mixture and apply directly on the infected area then cover it with the clean cloth. Leave it over night. You will definitely wake up with good result.

6.Witch Hazel: Witch Hazel helps to cure sebaceous cyst with having tonic properties. You need to apply the little quantity of gel or cream of Witch Hazel to the affected area. Continue this till you achieve the satisfactory results. After applying gel or cream, it may reduce within a couple of days. Its barks and leaves are also beneficial. It removes extra oils from the skin and helps to make your skin pores tight.

7.Lugol’s Iodine: Lugol’s iodine has been proven to be effective for a sebaceous cyst. It is available at various grocery stores. To apply it,first take it with cotton bud then apply the solution on the infected areas. For the best result, you have to apply twice or thrice a day.

8.Hot Compress: Hot Compress effectively works in sebaceous cyst and in several other skin lesions. For best result, practice this method daily. This facilitates draining out the thick liquid from the cyst. But before applying this method, you need to be sure about medium heat because high heat will produce more bacteria.
